Quasi

Remember Alien Workshop? Founded in 1990 by Chris Carter, Mike Hill, and Neil Blender in Dayton, Ohio, it was a staple in skateboarding until it disappeared in 2014. From that loss, something new emerged. Chad Bowers, Alien’s former team manager, started Mother Collective, bringing along riders like Jake Johnson, Tyler Bledsoe, and Gilbert Crockett. With unique collage-style graphics, Mother quickly made a name for itself.

But after receiving a cease and desist over the name, Bowers chose to support the team instead of fight a legal battle. With no logo to lose and creativity intact, the brand was reborn as Quasi. Defined as “having some resemblance,” Quasi reflects its roots in skateboarding and rider-owned values.

Quasi is known for its bold art, quality construction, and poppy, squared-off deck shapes that riders love. If you haven’t tried one yet, now’s the time. Stop by Board Paradise in Greensboro, NC or shop online and grab a Quasi deck today.
