Started by brothers Osama and Ayman Abdeldayem in their parents’ basement in Maryland, Carpet has grown from a passion project into one of the most unique brands in skateboarding. With backgrounds in math, engineering, and information systems, the brothers bring a hands-on approach to everything they make. Each deck is hand screen printed, signed, and often stamped or etched with a skater’s initials. Designs reflect their Egyptian roots mixed with playful, unexpected imagery. Even their soft goods include hidden messages sewn into pockets. Now based in Baltimore, the brand has been gaining serious attention, even making it into a gallery at the Baltimore Museum of Art.
