The 2019 Explorer from Jones is a superb all-mountain snowboard that is just at home in the powder as it is on the piste or on jumps. It's so good it has won a Transworld Good Wood award! With a progressive shape that enhances float and performance in deep snow whilst being stable and easy to ride on the piste as well, this snowboard is perfect for riders that like to do a bit of everything.
The medium flex combined with the Directional rocker profile makes the board forgiving whilst maintaining the nimble ride. This camber profile also makes the Explorer smooth when riding through the choppier uneven terrain.
Jones' Spoon 3D Base Contour technology. This tech has been designed to smoothen out your edge-to-edge transfers, making your turn initial feel more like that of a smooth surfboard instead of a jolty snowboard. Spoon Tech improves your board in three main areas: Glide, Flow and Float.

Jones have used a super fast base that compliments the edge hold and performance that the mellow magnetraction offers. Even in super icy conditions, the additional points of contact give you unmatched grip.
The Explorer comes with the Jones classic core which has been re-profiled for 2018 for a better torsional response between the feet. The combination of the classic core with biaxial fibreglass, giving this snowboard plenty of pop and response thanks to the 3 different woods used in the construction making the board incredibly strong and durable.
The Explorer comes factory de-tuned and waxed with Wend natural wax, so the board is ready to go as soon as it arrives. Any rider of an ability looking for a versatile and fun all mountain snowboard will love the Explorer.

Spoon 1.0 3D Base Contour - A subtle yet effective 3D base contour that features 2mm of spoon bevel in the nose and 2mm in the tail.
Progressive sidecut - Radius incrementally increases by the contact points for smooth turn initiation
Sintered 7000 Base - Lightening fast base that's super durable and infused with carbon to ensure the board glides further and accelerates faster than everyone else
Biaxial Fibreglass Layup - 2 layers of stitched fibreglass running in 2 directions provides a fun and forgiving ride with a nice snap to the board
Mellow Magnetraction - Improving edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the edge of your board for grip in even the iciest conditions
Eco-Plastic Topsheet - A Bio-plastic topsheet made from castor beans. This eco-material is ultralight, scratch/chip resistant and repels the snow so it doesn't stick the top of your board
Factory Tuned - All Jones boards are factory de-tuned at the tip and tail and waxed with Oneballjay Bio wax so you can start riding your new board straight away from the moment it arrives
Recycled ABS Sidewalls - one of the least environmentally friendly process in snowboard construction, Jones endeavour to improve the sustainability of their snowboards without any loss in quality or strength, just less damage to our planet
Oversized Recycled Steel Edges - All Jones boards feature these improved edges for added durability and overall impact resistance
