Lib Tech JL Phoenix C3 2018 Snowboard Black Blue 157
OVERVIEW
This board is an eco-friendly driectional twin freestyle dream for intermediate-advanced riders spending more time in the air than locked into groomers.
When you want to be able to romp through fields of pillow tops and take the chill treeline runs with your friends you'll enjoy how the C2 camber profile works for you. There's rocker between your feet and camber sections that extend from under your feet to the edge of the contact patch on both sides resulting in poppy pressure that is responsive to your needs. It keeps you floating and gives the extra boost needed when you want to huck it.
Basalt and Texalium are used as an upgrade from traditional fiberglass, which is good for the environment and the workers at Mervin manufacturing as well as serving to smooth out chatter with it's natural damping properties.
And an environmentally friendly Bio-Bean topsheet serves as a chip-resistant surface that keeps the board's overall weight down. With Magne-Traction® you're sure to be able to hold the line you need as the edges turn ice into butter so hit up the half-pipe and let it rip. Finally, at the core of the board, light and spring-like bamboo lays beneath your bindings secretly helping all your energy transfer into your jumps. Take it from the man Lando who says, "it's gonna send you to the moon if you can handle the juice."
RECOMMENDED USE
All Mountain + Freeride - Versatile go-everywhere board dependable enough for the steep and deep.
SHAPE
Directional Twin - Directional Twin snowboards will have a symmetrical shape, yet can have either a slightly set back stance or slightly stiffer tail depending on the construction.
Either way, a Directional Twin is designed for freestyle-influenced park or all-mountain riders who rock their normal stance most of the time but still like to hit things switch from time to time.
All the same fun as a regular twin but with a little more oomph in the tail for snapping off lips and setting down the landing gear.
FLEX
Medium Stiff - Good stability, pop, somewhat aggressive response and control. Also ideal for slightly bigger riders.
KEY FEATURES
C2 Power Banana Rocker/Camber Profile - Travis Rice's favorite blend for aggressive power snowboarders pushing the envelope. Rocker between your feet blended with a radical camber to contact points. Focuses pressure between your feet for easy turns and great edge hold on ice. Provides a solid amount of pressure to the tip and tail for power and end-to-end stability.
Magne-Traction Serrated Edges - Award-winning Magne-Traction features strategically placed bumps that create seven contact points along each side of your sidecut. This increases edge hold and allows for knife-like carves without the hook. Magne-Traction is a perfect complement to Banana Rocker and helps increase grip and control.
Horsepower Construction (HP) - Lighter and smoother than Original Power Construction, in the HP construction Ultra high molecular weight (UHMW) materials are used in the sidewalls and tip/tail serving to deflect impacts and smooth out your ride. Overall this construction is considered light, environmentally nice, and smooth.
Note: The HP+ construction adds bamboo risers underneath the binding area for more efficient energy transfer throughout the board.
Handbuilt in the USA - Every Lib Tech board is handmade by snowboarders with jobs in the USA. Libs are built with tough and fast UHMW external sidewalls and impact resistant end grain internal sidewalls. Ultra-light weight rugged "polymer bumper" sandwich tip and tails are standard on all Lib Techs. Steel edges are used for control along the contact area and "tucked in" just past the contacts for minimum spin weight. This means that heavy, unnecessary steel edges are eliminated from the tips and tails.
